Since 2013, PWHF has made a commitment to professionally and financially support the conservation activities of the CACP.

For the fiscal years of 2013 through 2016, as the first Iranian NGO, it has committed $100,000 towards the goals of the organization.

In 2001, the CACP, along with the support of the UNDP and the Iranian Government, began to identify threats and ways to protect the endangered population of the Asiatic Cheetah in Iran.

In the ten years since its founding, this project has been able to identify and protect the habitat of the Asiatic Cheetah. It raises awareness among communities living in and around the cheetah’s habitat. This has been accomplished with the help of NGOs, governmental organizations, and the United Nations Small grants program (SGP/GEF/UNDP). The second phase of the project will focus on protecting habitats, modeling the co-management of livestock, developing sustainable financial and scientific models, and the continued monitoring of the Asiatic Cheetah and its prey.
