Little Supporters of Iran’s Wildlife
Little Supporters of Iran’s Wildlife

After being informed about Persian Wildlife Heritage Foundation’s conservation activities, fourth graders of the German Embassy School of Tehran held a  fundraising campaign and played their part as little supporters of Iran’s endangered species.

As part of one of their course called “Habitats and our role in protecting them”, a workshop was held for 4th garders and 6th graders on the subject of “Habitat”on May 1st 2016. During this  two-hour workshop, they became more familiar with the subjects: endangered species of Iran, wildlife conservation, our liability to wildlife and sharing resources, through group discussions, games and movie playback. At the end, they were also informed about PWHF’s conservation projects.

A week after the workshop, these students prepared a celebration in their class and invited their parents to become more familiar with Iran’s wildlife and donate money to support conservation projects. On that day, students informed their parents about what they have learned about Iran’s wildlife by providing various handcrafts and poems. They also had the possibility to sell their hadcrafts to collect funds for PWHF’s conservation activities.
