PWHF in Action

Considering the limited resources from human resources and funding in hand, we find our foundation a small group facing the needs of a vast country. Hence, we try to set our priorities in a way that we would conserve the habitats and solving key threats of Iran’s nature. This would also lead to building up pilots for the rest of the country. This is our way of having a national impact on Iran’s’ biodiversity.
Among Iran’s wildlife we try to target the most endangered species such as Persian leopard, Asiatic Cheetah, Asiatic Black Bear and Larestan Wild Sheep. These endangered species are not only under the threat of extinction themselves, but also each one is the key species of its habitat. Thus, conservation of such species would end up in conserving all other coexisting creatures and yet their habitat.

Biological, social and conservation based surveys and projects, which are ratified by our board of managers, pave the path towards our targets. We deeply believe that local communities are not apart from the natural habitats around them. Therefore, Public awareness rising, education, fieldwork and community empowerment are among our activities. We also collaborate with other national and international NGOs with the same conservation goals.
