How we work
How we work

Our mission is to protect endangered species of Iran by collaborating with all conservation groups and environmental organizations. Our strategy is to promote a culture of nature conservancy. Persian Wildlife Heritage Foundation (PWHF) works throughout Iran, in the country’s varied biomes. As the survival of all species depends on their habitat, this is where we feel we need to start. We conduct field research to determine the conditions of each targeted species and the main threats to its survival.
Besides environmental groups and Iran’s Department of Environment (DoE), we seek the cooperation of commercial ventures and companies to encourage them to see their part in nature conservancy projects. We need the input of universities, research organizations, and the scientific community to better define and pursue our goals.
Through citizen petitions and lobbying with politicians we try to influence policies to the advantage of environmental protection. Through special events, workshops, in-the-field or in-classroom education, book and pamphlet publication, and the production of other educational material including documentary films, we bring environmental issues to every individual’s home.
